Ozone therapy to reduce lower back pain

Abstract

Low back pain is very common in the population and decreases the quality of life of patients suffering from it. In recent years, ozone therapy has been suggested as an alternative treatment due to its anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect. The results showed that ozone therapy is reliable and effective for the treatment of lumbar disc herniation, radicular pain and mechanical back pain due to low back pain.
After examining the results of the studies described in recent years in various countries, the efficacy and safety of ozone therapy can be checked to reduce low and long-term low back pain when conservative treatment does not work, and its power to delay surgery .
Following these favorable results, it is essential to transmit this novel therapy to health professionals so that they can incorporate it into their daily work and thus be able to offer patients the best treatments based on the latest scientific evidence demonstrated.
